A giant shadow with brown hair stood at the foot of the bed, its heavy breathing and a strange foul odor filling the air.

Ling Xiaoxuan was confused and sleepy, her mouth slightly open.

As she woke up and spoke, it attracted the attention of the Shan xiao monster.

It urgently turned around, its copper bell-like eyes staring fixedly at Ling Xiaoxuan, its mouth dripping with a lot of saliva onto the ground.

Sitting on the bed, Ling Xiaoxuan was stunned and became the perfect meal for the Shan xiao .

"What thing is this ?!!!" she exclaimed, staring at the monster's true appearance, her previously soft and gentle voice now breaking into a shrill one, hurting Qin Ruan's ears.

Qin Ruan squinted her eyes, slightly disgusted as she pursed her lips, reaching out to rub her sore ears.

She never thought that Senior Sister could still make such a strong and sharp high-pitched sound.

She also didn't know if the people in the upstairs and downstairs dormitories were awakened by her.

Meanwhile, Ling Xiaoxuan was scared out of her wits. She scrambled out of bed, barefoot and in a messy sleepwear, running towards Qin Ruan like a gust of wind.

The Shan xiao followed her movements, its eyes still fixed on her.

Its gaze was fierce, as if it wanted to tear Ling Xiaoxuan apart and swallow her whole.

Ling Xiaoxuan held onto Qin Ruan's clothes, her hands trembling uncontrollably, speaking with a trembling voice, "Why is this thing staring at me? Is this the monster you said would come to me in my dream?"

At this point, she still didn't forget Qin Ruan's excuse for leaving her at school earlier.

Qin Ruan smiled, pretending to be sinister, "Senior Sister, its target is you."

"Me?" Ling Xiaoxuan widened her eyes and pursed her lips in disbelief, thinking that Qin Ruan was joking.

As she finished speaking, she rushed out.

Qin Ruan charged towards the Mountain Goblin, a strand of golden light appearing in her fair hand, as thin as a thread.

The Mountain Goblin raised its arms, revealing sharp nails in its furry paws.

It swung its claw towards Qin Ruan, and if it landed, she would surely be sent flying.

"Qin Ruan! Be careful!"

Upon seeing this scene, Ling Xiaoxuan exclaimed.

Qin Ruan dodged the Mountain Goblin's attack with her agility, while at the same time, the golden thread in her hand shot towards the goblin's head.

The Mountain Goblin's paw landed on the wardrobe beside Ling Xiaoxuan's bed, sinking deep into the wood. Before it could withdraw its claw, its body collapsed with a loud crash.

Qin Ruan swallowed hard, staring at the goblin lying on the ground, her heart pounding.

This was her first time dealing with a monster face to face, and it was impossible not to be nervous.

Mountain Goblins are usually found in deep forests and are hardly seen in cities.

"What?" Ling Xiaoxuan widened her eyes, blinked, and looked confused.

Qin Ruan's expression was solemn, her eyes containing a ferocity. "If I wasn't here tonight, this thing would have already taken your life."
