He raised his chin, indicating for his elder brother to look at their father.

Qin Mei leaned in closer to Qin Jingcen's ear and chuckled, "Look at Dad's foolish expression. It's unbearable to watch."

Qin Jingcen's expression remained cool and devoid of amusement as he gazed at their father holding their younger sister's hand, his eyes showing envy.

He also wanted to hold his little sister's hand.

Han Xian felt like a transparent person in this household when Qin Mei and Qin Ruan returned. No one noticed her presence.

Han Xian struggled to maintain her stiff smile and said softly, "Ah mei, you're misunderstanding something. If there's anything, please let me know. Aunt Han may not be able to tend to the house due to recent events with Kexin. Can we clarify things?"

"You..." Qin Mei sneered.

"Enough, let's calm down." Qin Anguo interrupted his son and asked Han Xian, "When will Kexin be back?"

"I called her and she'll be back soon," Han Xian replied.

Qin Anguo's expression turned cold, and his tone was distant. Han Xian felt a vague unease in her heart.

As they spoke, Qin Jingcen sat on the sofa with Qin Ruan, pushing the gifts on the table in front of her and telling her what was inside.

Qin Ruan listened attentively, and the curve of her lips never dropped.

Suddenly, Qin Ruan spoke up and asked, "Big brother, did Father see the things I sent over to him?"

Qin Jingcen's handsome face darkened slightly, and a cold light flashed in his eyes. He replied in a low voice, "Yes."
