Ling Xu calculated that Hou Yunjiao had less than ten years left to live. When his grandfather and father found out about Qin Ruan's pregnancy, they decided to let her have the baby.

Having a baby is not a small matter, especially when the mother herself is still a child.

Hou Yunjiao couldn't possibly not ask for Qin Ruan's opinion.

She didn't realize her expression was a bit too intimate, only revealing such a childish demeanor in front of someone she trusted and approved deep down.

Despite Qin Ruan's accusation, he showed no remorse, smiling gently and saying, "Don't overthink it. It's late now. Stay here tonight instead of going back to school. Let's get our marriage certificate tomorrow morning."

Qin Ruan didn't reject his offer and asked, "Where will I be staying?"

"On the third floor. Someone will clean up a room for you later."

"Where will you be staying?" Qin Ruan asked.

Hou Yunjiao stood up and hesitated before turning to look at Qin Ruan with his deep, dangerous gaze. "We haven't even gotten our certificate yet, and you want to share a room with me?"

He spoke in a low voice, teasingly.

Qin Ruan rolled her eyes in secret, thinking to herself that they had already shared a room together. After all, how could she have become pregnant with his child?

She dared not say this out loud, however.

"I just wanted to ask," Qin Ruan said.

Hou Yunjiao noticed her little act and found it very childish. His peach blossom eyes were full of indulgence and tenderness as he gazed at her. "I sleep in the master bedroom on the second floor. There are no guest rooms on the second floor, but if you're willing, you can stay with me. There's a side bedroom in there."

"I'll stay with you then," Qin Ruan said without hesitation.

She hadn't forgotten the purpose of coming to the Hou afamily tonight - to investigate Hou Yunjiao's spiritual energy. Without getting close to him, she wouldn't have the opportunity to explore it.

Upon hearing her words, Hou Yunjiao's lips curved into a mischievous smile, and his flirtatious peach blossom eyes narrowed, making him seem both lazy and luxurious.
